- TechScheduler is a highly configurable program and system scheduler
- for Windows 95, 98, NT workstation, NT Server, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
- TechScheduler comes with a powerful NT Service executable that provides
- all the scheduling power from TechScheduler in an NT Service executable.

- TechScheduler's flexible scheduling allows for jobs to be scheduled in a
- variety of different daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc fashions, including
- on demand. Times can be scheduled to occur throughout the daily, at a given
- point each hour or during ad-hoc times you specify.

- Each job can invoke another TechScheduler job when it is complete or it can
- invoke a Windows program when complete. You can test whether jobs were
- successful or failed and invoke different jobs or programs depending on the
- result. You can build circular or recurring jobs or jobs that invoke other
- job streams. There is also an option to have failed jobs automatically
- retry themselves after a given interval.

- Jobs can automatically notify email addresses of their success or failure,
- both MAPI and SMTP email is embedded in the program.

- With a published powerful API and examples, you can use TechScheduler as
- part of your development projects.

- Using Windows "Control Panel", select the Add/Remove Programs
- icon. From the list of installed applications select TechScheduler
- and proceed with the automated UnInstallShield procedures.

- 1. New Watchdog job to check for existance of Windows with a specific title.
- If the window does not exist then the watchdog fails.
- 2. New WebBrowser Action to save the web page to a file on a local or remote
- system. Can also generate a unique file name in a folder to allow for
- repetitive saving of web pages that change.
- 3. Added capability in FTP job to have Host and Target names with leading/
- trailing quotes. Use the '^' symbol which will be translated at runtime to
- a single quote.
- 4. Added option in configuration to NOT have FTP/Network passwords encrypted
- in the registry.
- 5. Corrected bug where renaming a job while the job storage was to an INI
- file created a bogus job with no parameters.
- 6. More GUI updates to add hints, help buttons and consistent behavior.

- the instance of Techscheduler running; This permits multiple copies to run.
- 2. Added command line option /JOBGROUP=xxxx where xxxx is the jobgroup to set

- 3. Added command line option /LOGPATH=xxxx where xxxx is the path where the
- logfile should be placed for this instance.
- 4. API interface updated to check within the JobGroup, ie:
- "LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Dean Software\Techscheduler\MyGroup\Api" so that
- seperate APIs can be created for each job group.
- 5. Added page in Setup Wizard giving option to disable Idle Time Watchdog and
- Web Browser job DLLs as there are continued conflicts with other 3rd party

- 6. Corrected bug in SMTP mail where timestamp was not complete. Was: "9 jun 01"
- Now: Tue, 9 jun 2001".
- 7. Added option on File/Folder job that will stop the rest of the job from
- running if there is any failure (file not found, etc..) Defaults to true
- so that if you don't care whether a failure occurs then turn this off.
- 8. Corrected FTP job entry so that you could select FTP files for delete jobs.
- 9. Added hint to the System Tray icon for Techscheduler that displays the
- Active Group for Techscheduler.
